Visiting Artist: Bryan Hopkins

Please join us in hearing from artist Bryan Hopkins, who will be giving an artist talk on Oct. 18th at 4:30 PM in the ART Building, Room 158.

Born in Philadelphia, PA. Bryan Hopkins earned an MFA in Ceramics from the State University of New York at New Paltz, currently lives in Buffalo and teaches at Niagara County Community College. He is a studio potter working in porcelain since 1990. Bryan’s research centers on the vessel: both utilitarian and sculptural. He has curated and exhibited in group and solo shows nationally, including the NCECA Clay National Biennial. His work and research has been published in Ceramics Monthly, Ceramics: Art and Perception, Studio Potter, and numerous textbooks. Bryan is a New York Foundation on the Arts Craft Fellow.
