Graphic Design First-Year Advancement 2024-25

March 25 - March 29

To take second-year Graphic Design courses [DESGR] in 2024–2025, you must apply by portfolio.

Application Period Begins:

Monday, March 25

Applications Due by Midnight:

Friday, March 29th

Any declared Graphic Design major may apply for First Year Advancement.
However, priority consideration will be given to students who meet the prerequisites by the end of Spring 2024:

Earn a minimum B- in each
of these courses…

  • DESGR 1100 Communication Design 1
  • DESGR 1600 Typography 1
  • ART 2205 Mapping
  • ART 2206 Matrix
  • ART 2207 Seeing

Earn a minimum C+ in each
of these courses…

  • ART 2201 Action
  • ART 2202 Construct
  • ART 2203 Evidence
  • ART 2204 Illusion
  • ART 2208 Touch
