Laurel Caryn is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) at the University of Utah, where she teaches studio classes in Darkroom Photography, 19th Century Photographic Processes, and Senior Photo Portfolio. Since graduating with an MFA in photography from the University of Utah in 1989, Caryn has continued her research into alternative photo processes, while watching film itself become an archaic technique with the advent of digital.
