The University Counseling Center (UCC) invites all students to participate in the first-ever Healing Art Showcase. Adapted from the University of UC Irvine Healing Arts program, this showcase exhibits artwork created by U of U students as a way to address mental health issues that can impact academic and personal functioning among students and decrease mental health stigma.  In addition, the UCC hopes the Healing Art Showcase can help students find commonality among shared experiences, validation in knowing they are not alone in dealing with these issues, along with inspiration and empowerment on how to cope with it.

This year’s theme is on the experience of managing burnout. All entries must be original works of art created within the last three years. Artists must be current University of Utah students. The entry deadline is Jan. 27, 2023. Artwork will be on display in the Union Lobby Jan. 30-Feb. 3, 2023. Cash prizes will go to the top three selected by a community vote.
