Visiting Artist Talk: Fawn Krieger

April 16 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm MDT

Please join us in hearing from artist Fawn Krieger on Wednesday, April 16th, at 4:30 PM in the ART Building, Room 158.

Fawn Krieger is a NYC-based artist, teacher, and arts administrator. Her work explores social, economic, and somatic transmission as grounds for recovery, reimagination, and liberation. Krieger works both individually and collaboratively; having developed projects with artists including Neal Medlyn, Edwin Torres, Grace Whiteside, Anna Oxygen, and Tracy + the Plastics.  Situated between sculpture, video, and theatre, her artwork has been exhibited at institutions including The Kitchen, Art in General, the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, and Human Resources LA. Her work has been featured in The NY Times, Artforum, Art in America, Sculpture Magazine, BOMB, and Flash Art. Krieger is a 2019 Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award Fellow, and has received additional grants from Art Matters Foundation and The Jerome Foundation, among others. In addition to her art practice, Krieger serves as Program Director at The Keith Haring Foundation, and Adjunct Instructor in Sculpture at The Cooper Union School of Art.
