Permission Numbers

If you haven’t declared ART as your major but are planning on it, you must meet with an advisor. To make an appointment, please visit finearts.utah.edu/advising.

To request a Fall 2017 permission number for a class that does not have the wait list functionality, fill out the request form. Wait List allows a student to add their name to an electronic wait list and potentially be added to the class if space opens up, and they meet all the requirements. It does not guarantee enrollment into a class. Visit http://registrar.utah.edu/register/waitlisting.php for more information.

NOTE: Art Minor students will need to register for the minor-specific section of their studio courses (i.e., DRAW 3130, CERM 3210) instead of the Art Major section (i.e., ART 3130, ART 3210). If you have questions about which section is appropriate for you, please contact a CFA advisor.

Below is an example of the class information that is needed. The Class # (green box, on the left) is unique to each section and can be either four or five digits long. This number should not be confused with the Catalog # (red box, second from the right) which is always four digits long.

The permission number will be sent to your UofU email address.
If you have no Minor, please put n/a.
If your reason is not listed, or if you have questions, please email info@art.utah.edu. Thank you.

Qualified individuals who want to take advantage of House Bill 60 for Seniors should print this form, fill it out, and take it to the instructor for completion. For questions regarding HB60 registration, contact Continuing Education (801-581-7155) Monday through Friday between 8:00AM and 5:00PM.
