Visiting Artists: Amy Franceschini & Lode Vranken of FutureFarmers
March 17 @ 4:30 pm
WEDNESDAY MARCH 17
4:30P MT / ZOOM
Futurefarmers is an international group of artists, anthropologists, farmers and architects proposing alternatives to the social, political and environmental organization of space. Their studio supports art projects, an artist-in-residence program, and their research interests. Futurefarmers uses various media to understand and deconstruct the intrinsic logics of systems (food, public transportation, education). Through this disassembly they find new narratives and reconfigurations that form alternatives to the principles that once dominated these systems. They have created temporary schools, books, bus tours, and large-scale exhibitions internationally.
All students and faculty in the Department of Art & Art History will receive info via email prior to the talk. Others interested may register below. Made possible through the generous support of the Carmen Morton Christensen Endowment, the Department of Art & Art History, and the College of Fine Arts.
