Painting/Drawing Emphasis The Painting/Drawing faculty are dedicated to giving you a solid, fundamental training in drawing, an understanding of value, and a color experience. As a foundation, this basic yet thorough vocabulary provides a catalyst connecting how perception and the act of seeing is the grounding that directs the use of materials and refines technique. With these skills providing a place to start, you are then encouraged to pursue a more personal vision. An environment is then furnished with both rigorous applications of traditional standards and introductions to contemporary issues and solutions. Our goal is the preparation that enables sensitivity to both the physical and the mental: we ensure that our students have both an intelligent and highly personal point of view. |
