Art History Minor: Capstone Experience
The Art history faculty would like to share in your accomplishments in the
art history discipline. For this reason, we have instituted an annual Art
History Spring Symposium at which selected research papers by art history students are
presented before colleagues and friends. We encourage all our majors
and minors to participate in this event regularly as they make their
way through their course of study.
In order to be chosen for the conference presentations, you may submit an abstract for a
20-minute paper to the faculty of the Art History Symposium Committee. The 1-page
abstracts are juried for competency and quality, and you will be notified if the
abstract for your paper was accepted.
The Spring Symposium at which the students will deliver their 20-minute papers (8-10 pages)
will occur approximately two weeks before the end of the semester. It is free
and open to the public. Organizing information and specific dates for the conference are posted each year. |
