Art History Major: Recommended Course Sequence

It is to your benefit to complete ARTH 2500 before undertaking the upper-division coursework. You will find it advantageous to spread out the upper-division classes over several semesters while also satisfying the General Education and Bachelor degree requirements. The art history undergraduate advisor can help you map out an effective sequence of classes.

From your mentor, you may receive additional input in scheduling a range of classes at the 3000-level and 4000-level.

It is strongly recommended that you complete your program with at least four courses at the 3000-level and six courses at the 4000-level in more than one area to demonstrate competency in the discipline of Art History.
