National Art Education Association,  University of Utah Student Chapter
Our purpose is to have art making and art awareness become part of people's lives.

Activities

Our NAEA student chapter is a resource and support system for art teaching students in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Utah. We are a dynamic group of individuals who are committed to creating art and sharing the creative process with others. Some examples of our projects are: volunteering at Global Artways (a city-sponsored arts education program), assisting with High School Art Day in the Department, we also sponsor various on-campus art education activities including chapter meetings that feature artists/teachers as guest speakers. WE brought Dr. Michael Day, the former president of the National Art Education Association, to campus in the spring of 2004.

In addition to all these activities, we write grants that help us raise funding that supports us attending and presenting at national and local art education conferences.
