Community Involvement
Building Our Community One Mural at a Time
“We make it, and then it’s theirs.” –Kim Martinez
It's a snowball effect. A building owner decides to implement one of our murals as we train our art students to work in the real world. Working together, the community members and art students take on a vision and a run-down building is revamped. The completed mural gives the people living and working in the area something nice to look at, building greater pride in their community. In turn, they want to keep the surrounding area clean and vibrant to match the art piece. The community works together to manage the upkeep by fixing broken lights, ridding the walls of graffiti as quickly as possible, and so on. With your involvement, we can increase community pride throughout the Salt Lake Valley.
