With my help, I want my students to become assured in thinking critically about the world of art. I hope to inspire a confidence in their opinions and a strong understanding of the functions and power of art and artists in our global community. I try to support active learning by encouraging open class discussions facilitated by the instructor, but mostly led by the students themselves. My goal is to ensure this dialogue is conducted in an atmosphere that is respectful yet open. I urge all students to understand that their perspective and insights are important to an overall conversation about art.
