Andrew Rice has always called the Rocky Mountain West region his home. Born in Aspen, CO, he received his BFA in printmaking from the University of Colorado in Boulder and his MFA in Salt Lake City, UT at the University of Utah, where he currently resides.

Rice has exhibited his work widely at national and international venues including Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, Krakow Print Triennial, The Utah Museum of Fine Art, the Printmaking Center of New Jersey, “Iosif Iser” International Contemporary Print Biennial, Prohova County Art Museum (Romania), and has an upcoming show at Art Base in Basalt, CO in February 2017. He co-organizes the biannual Communities:West portfolio, which brings together printmakers from the American West.
