| no images available | Digital Facilities The Digital Imaging Lab is located in the Art Building and facilitates complex manipulation of digital imaging, design layout, and video editing programs. Flatbed scanners and film scanners support data input, with film scanners accepting up to 3" x 4" negatives. Output devices include black & white laser and Epson Stylus Pro 5000 color printer w/fiery rip. Video editing stations include firewire feed, JVC VCR recorders and Macintosh G5 machines. Video cameras and video projection units are available for student use in conjunction with course work. Our computer server system supports Fine Arts students, allowing for large file storage on a server that is backed up daily. There are three additional computer labs on campus that also support digital imaging processes, providing a range of times and sites for student use. The College of Fine Art Digital Audio Lab is located in David Gardiner Hall and is available for use by students in our college. The lab provides students with the means to create and manipulate sound through ProTools software and supporting hardware. Currently we are organizing a New Media Wing that will be a shared multimedia facility between the academic units in the College of Fine Arts and the Graduate School of Architecture. The building offers the exciting benefit of increasing interdisciplinary arts technology projects among the College of Fine Arts units: art and art history, ballet, film, modern dance, music, and theatre. |
